Remote & Disaster Medical Training
The GeoMedic™ course from SOLO Schools International is advanced medical training designed for people who work in extreme, remote, or resource-limited environments where conventional medical care is delayed or unavailable. It prepares participants to provide sustained, practical patient care across the full timeline of an emergency — from the initial deployment through extended remote care scenarios.
At Leland Expeditions, we support this program by providing ultrasound instruction tailored to austere settings — giving participants the skills to use point-of-care ultrasound where traditional imaging is not available. Our instructor brings practical experience from expedition and remote contexts to contribute to SOLO’s curriculum.
This intensive program includes hands-on, scenario-based learning in key areas such as remote critical care, advanced wound and fracture management, environmental and expedition medicine, clinic setup and operations, and disaster response. Instruction covers clinical skill development as well as effective decision-making in challenging environments where improvisation and adaptability are essential.
